Overview of the Role
Join the forefront of renewable energy innovation as an Electrical Studies Subject Matter Expert for a leading clean energy company. In this pivotal role, you'll provide critical expertise in preparing and reviewing studies for utility-scale battery projects, helping to expand one of the fastest-growing energy storage fleets in the country.
Key Responsibilities
Support design and engineering of major components for large-scale energy storage projects
Conduct and review arc flash analysis, reactive power studies, and TOV studies
Identify and resolve inconsistencies in engineering drawings and studies
Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts
Collaborate with diverse teams to solve problems and integrate systems
Evaluate specifications for major equipment purchasing
Navigate permitting requirements and propose solutions to challenges
Travel approximately 10% for project-specific duties
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
7+ years of Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction experience
Expertise in power electronics, battery storage system design, substation design, or generation tie design
Proficiency with ETAP, PSCAD and PSSE software
Knowledge of energy storage technologies and battery safety standards
Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with ability to handle specialized technical tasks independently
