Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee critical power generation projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge energy infrastructure while managing complex construction operations in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on all job sites, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

  • Coordinate closely with engineers, EPC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective project execution

  • Lead and manage daily construction activities, including task monitoring, workforce oversight, performance feedback, and conflict resolution

  • Perform site inspections, audits, and QA/QC reviews to ensure construction quality meets approved standards and specifications

  • Maintain detailed documentation including construction logs, progress reports, safety inspections, and QA/QC records

  • Serve as a key communication link between field personnel, project leadership, clients, and commissioning teams

  • Review and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, civil plans, and steel structural drawings

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve construction issues to keep projects on schedule and within scope

  • Work with EPC partners to resolve RFIs, change orders, and constructability challenges

  • Perform material procurement activities and material take-offs as needed

  • Support project turnover and commissioning activities through energization

  • Participate in post-project reviews, reporting successes, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6-10+ years of experience managing substation or power infrastructure construction projects
  • Experience working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices
  • Knowledge of concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, GSU containment pits
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and familiarity with substation or construction management software
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Proven ability to safely work in physically demanding and hazardous environments
