About the Role

Were looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to join our Machine Learning Infrastructure team. In this role, you'll help design and scale backend systems that power intelligent features. You will collaborate across teams and domains, ensuring scalable, high-performance solutions that support our ML ecosystem and broader engineering community.

What You'll Do

• Identify and lead collaboration efforts within and across squads to ensure aligned execution and delivery.
• Act as a backend domain expert, driving innovative and scalable solutions across multiple problem domains.
• Own and deliver large, complex technical tasks end-to-end, managing dependencies and communication cross-functionally.
• Mentor and support other engineers by promoting best practices and setting high standards for backend engineering.
• Ensure cohesion between squad-level features and the broader wide ML ecosystem, considering long-term technical sustainability.

Who You Are

• Experience in music streaming services, digital music platforms, streaming services, or music apps is highly valued as we continue to innovate in how listeners discover and engage with audio content.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade machine learning infrastructure using Python, Java, Scala, or similar.
• Strong foundation in data processing concepts and distributed systems.
• Experience working in agile environments with an emphasis on modular, maintainable code design.
• Proven expertise in backend development at scale, with a deep understanding of performance optimization.
• Effective communicator and proactive collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments.
