JOB PURPOSE:

The Aviation Security Coordinator is responsible for supporting the consolidation, standardization, and day-to-day coordination of the AVSEC functions at Arajet. The role focuses on data management, training coordination and facilitation, operational support, inventory control, and administrative coordination, enabling the AVSEC leadership team to maintain effective oversight, compliance, and scalability across all stations.

This position plays a key role in strengthening governance, traceability, and consistency within the AVSEC system as the airline continues to grow.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Manage, consolidate, and maintain all AVSEC databases, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
  • Support the development and maintenance of AVSEC dashboards and consolidated reports.
  • Ensure timely collection, validation, and organization of AVSEC operational data from all stations.
  • Maintain proper records to support audits, inspections, and internal reviews.

Training Coordination and facilitation

  • Act as the focal point for all AVSEC-related training activities.
  • Coordinate initial and recurrent training for AVSEC personnel and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Support the rollout of updated procedures and standards through targeted training initiatives.
  • Facilitates, and supports training initiatives as required

Administrative and Financial Support

  • Receive, review, and consolidate invoices related to AVSEC services and supplies for managers review and approval.
  • Support budget tracking by maintaining accurate records of AVSEC expenses.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Procurement as required to ensure proper documentation and approvals.

Supervision and Team Support

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to the Security Assistant.
  • Ensure effective follow-up on assigned tasks, particularly those related to administrative and identification processes in both SDQ and PUJ.
  • Support workload prioritization within the AVSEC support team.

Inventory and Supplies Management

  • Manage AVSEC supplies and equipment inventories across all stations.
  • Consolidate inventory data and ensure minimum stock levels are maintained at all times.
  • Coordinate distribution of AVSEC materials (e.g., seals, documentation, equipment) as required.

Travel and Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the AVSEC team, including station visits, audits, and training activities.
  • Support logistical planning for AVSEC-related operational and oversight activities.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: 

  • Bachelors degree in Aviation, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Have a valid CESAC certification (AVSEC Inspector, AVSEC Supervisor, or AVSEC Instructor).
  • 3 to 5 years of operational AVSEC experience.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in aviation security, airline operations, or a related aviation environment. Required
  • Experience working with operational data, reports, or compliance-related documentation.
  • Previous exposure to training coordination or administrative support roles is desirable.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid understanding of aviation security concepts and operational environments.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Ability to work with databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Good understanding of document control and audit support processes.
  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
