The Ground Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all airline-related operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and with a customer-focused approach. Their ability to make quick and effective decisions, coordinate teams, and resolve issues is essential for the smooth execution of air operations.

Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate daily airport operations, including aircraft handling, baggage handling, security processes, passenger check-in, boarding, and ground transportation services.
    • Manage and lead a team of airport staff, including customer service agents, security personnel, baggage handlers, and ground crew. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a high level of service delivery.
    • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service among airport staff. Handle passenger inquiries, complaints, and issues professionally and promptly.
    • Optimize the allocation of airport resources such as staff, equipment, and facilities to efficiently meet operational demands.
    • Stay up to date on aviation regulations, airport policies, and industry best practices to ensure the airport complies with all legal requirements.
    • Liaise with various airport stakeholders, including airlines, ground handling companies, immigration and customs officials, to facilitate smooth airport operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • Previous experience in airport or airline operations, with a minimum of 3 years in supervision or management roles
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and airport procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle critical situations with composure
  • Proficiency in the use of airport management systems, computer applications, and office software
  • Experience with DCS systems, Microsoft Office, and Safety Certifications
  • Able to communicate in both English and Spanish
