The responsibility of the Junior Technical Services Engineer is to provide technical support and assistance in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities of aircraft and related systems. Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the junior Technical Services Manager or Senior Technical Services Engineer, the role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including maintenance, engineering, operations, and regulatory authorities.
- The jobholder is responsible for providing technical support and expertise in areas such as aircraft maintenance, modifications, repairs, and regulatory compliance.
- The junior Technical Services Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective maintenance programs, procedures, and standards to optimize aircraft performance and minimize downtime.
- The role involves conducting technical investigations, analyzing data, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement in maintenance practices and processes.
- The jobholder works within the framework of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company policies to ensure compliance and enhance operational efficiency.
- The junior Technical Services Engineer actively participates in the evaluation and implementation of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and engineering orders to maintain aircraft in accordance with regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
- The jobholder may be involved in aircraft inspections, audits, and assessments to identify technical issues, propose corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- The role requires staying updated with the latest developments, advancements, and regulatory changes in the aviation industry to effectively support decision-making and provide expert technical advice.
- The junior Technical Services Engineer may also liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and regulatory authorities, to address technical matters, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication.
- The jobholder is expected to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 month of experience in engineering areas of a major airline (preferably in a LCC).
- Excellent planning and organisational capability.
- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various teams, senior management, colleagues and suppliers.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent standard of Spanish (written, conversational and comprehension).
- Proficiency in English (written, conversational and comprehension).
- Good computer literacy.
- Cost consciousness with the ability to find cost-efficient engineering and planning solutions.
