JOB PURPOSE:

The Flight Operations Engineering Analyst is responsible for technical analysis, development, and co-ordination of company processes, optimizing and providing relevant support to Flight Operations Engineering Manager and other company areas in terms of Aircraft Performance, MEL, Airport and Route briefing, Weight & Balance and Fuel Matters.

Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, security, and quality policies, to minimize health and safety risks.
  • Report injuries, hazards, and incidents to ensure proper response, mitigations or investigation is carried out.
  • Support relevant investigations and provide or recommend mitigations to prevent events from happening again.

Operational

  • Evaluate operational documentation from aircraft manufacturer or regulatory agencies periodically to determine operational impact.
  • Prepare and update take-off and landing database used operationally for OPT or any other suitable performance application/tool used in the EFB or Dispatch.
  • Publish Decompression and Drift-down procedures according to each aircraft type operated by AraJet.
  • Maintain and oversight Weight-and-Balance data and aircraft configurations to ensure each aircraft is operating accurately in the Load-sheet program.
  • Propose changes to the technical content of the documents and flight operations manuals.
  • Perform airport and route suitability checks according to the aircraft characteristics to allow safe operations for new destinations, including technical visits if applicable.
  • Provide operational and technical support across the entire airline, as well as regulatory and compliance coordination with internal customers.
  • Calculate the performance degradation of each aircraft (via an adequate APM tool)
  • Report data or information required by regulatory agencies.
  • Create and support Fuel Effiency initiatives

Development

  • Responsible for own personal growth and development of expertise
  • Attend industry meetings to learn new technical developments and maintain proficiency in the field of flight operations engineering.
  • Stay up to date with other carriers' experience and current industry/best practices.
  • Participate in the development and documentation of internal workflow processes.

Regulatory

  • Ensure compliance in own area and across AraJet with national and international regulations where applicable to safeguard the company from any high-risk audit findings, regulatory breaches and company exposure with negative financial implications.
  • Periodically review applicable Aeronautical Information for regularly operated airports, alternates and new commercial planned routes.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Industrial, electrical or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, process optimization or design, preferably in airlines or transport companies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Multi-tasking – able to take on multiple assignments.
  • Self - Starter, engaged and demonstrate ability to be proactive when dealing with issues and challenges.
  • Responsible, task and target-driven, flexible and innovative.
  • Advance English proficiency.
