Job Summary

We are seeking experienced professionals for the role of Operations Logistics, responsible for managing international shipment coordination, customs documentation, and smooth logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GCC logistics practices and demonstrated experience in global supply chain communications, particularly with international logistics hubs, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shipment Coordination

    • Oversee end-to-end coordination of international shipments (air, sea, and land freight).

    • Liaise with freight forwarders, transport companies, and third-party logistics providers.

    • Track shipment status and proactively manage delays, exceptions, and delivery schedules.

  • Customs & Compliance

    • Prepare, review, and manage shipping and customs documentation (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, COO, etc.).

    • Ensure compliance with all GCC customs regulations and import/export requirements.

    • Coordinate with customs clearance agents for timely clearance of goods.

  • Logistics Communication

    • Communicate with international logistics hubs and regional partners to ensure efficient transit and delivery.

    • Serve as a point of contact for logistics queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.

    • Ensure effective escalation and resolution of shipment or customs-related issues.

  • Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs clearance, and transportation activities.

    • Generate logistics performance reports, including delivery timelines, cost analysis, and exceptions.

    • Support audits and ensure full documentation compliance.

  • Process Improvement

    • Identify and suggest operational improvements to reduce costs and optimize transit time.

    • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to improve service levels.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 35 years of experience in international logistics, shipment coordination, and GCC customs documentation.

  • Strong knowledge of GCC port procedures, import/export regulations, and HS code classification.

  • Familiarity with Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with logistics software and tools (ERP/WMS/TMS platforms).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage cross-border teams and vendors.

  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under tight timelines.

  • Arabic language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience working with GCC-based logistics hubs (e.g., Dubai, Jeddah, Dammam, Doha).

  • Previous exposure to high-volume shipment coordination in FMCG, retail, industrial, or trading companies.

  • Knowledge of green channel, free zone logistics, or bonded warehousing is advantageous.
