Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Planning: Develop procurement strategies and plans for electrical components and equipment based on project requirements and budget constraints.
  2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers of electrical materials. Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  3. Material Sourcing: Source and procure electrical components, equipment, and materials from approved suppliers. Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
  4. Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure adherence to project budgets. Identify opportunities for cost savings through supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing, or value engineering.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured electrical materials meet the required quality standards and specifications. Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections as necessary.
  6. Inventory Management: Coordinate with project teams to manage inventory levels of electrical materials, minimizing excess inventory while ensuring adequate supply to meet project demands.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts. Generate reports on procurement performance, including cost savings, delivery performance, and supplier performance.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations and standards. Stay informed about market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting the electrical procurement process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the electrical industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical components, equipment, and systems.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
