One of our clients is in the Power Industry in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and is hiring for the position of QA / QC Engineer.

Location: Jeddah

Years of Experience: 10-12 years of experience

Educational Qualification: B.E (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil) plus Relevant Quality Certifications (ISO 9001:2015, L6S, Auditing, etc.)

Notice Period: Immediate joiners or a maximum one-month notice period.

Job Description:

  • Establish and activate Project Quality Plan and procedures with Project staff & ensure quality control throughout the project.
  • Ensure preparation and compliance in the Company with established ISO/ Alternate procedures for Quality and Environmental Protection.
  • Nodal point for all Quality Documents, Procedures and Compliance in the Company across all Departments.
  • Supervised of the quality control inspectors & engineers.
  • Preparation of inspection and test plans and checklists for site activities.
  • Preparation of Method statements for various installations in coordination with senior engineers and construction in charge.
  • Ensuring inspection of material received at site after receiving information from stores in charge.
  • Ensuring inspections of installations are taking place when advised by the construction-in-charge/ site engineer/supervisor.
  • Monitoring quality control for each definable area/section of work as per PQP, Method statements, ITPs and specification.
  • Co-ordination with Main client, Consultants and Local Authorities for arrangement of site inspection.
  • Co-ordination with suppliers/ sub-contractors quality control representative to ensure that products and services meet the Contract requirements.
  • Evaluation of products, Client/Consultant complaints regarding products and installation.
  • Co-ordination with Client/ Consultant and other contractor's quality representatives.
  • Control of calibration records of testing and measuring instruments.
  • Monitor and supervise tests required in the technical provision of the Contract.
  • Control, reporting and processing of non-conformance.
  • Provide monthly reports for offsite quality activities.
  • Obtain written permission from the QC Issuing Authority/Client/Consultant when amendments to the Quality control system are required.
  • Arrangement of inspection of material before and after delivery to the project site.
  • Carry out joint goal setting of direct repartees, conduct their formal appraisals & feedback sessions at least twice a year, identify their training needs, encourage them to attend development initiatives, participate in mentoring initiatives and implement action plans for improved Employee Engagement.
  • Compile and analyze data regarding the quality and share it as a Lesson Learned document for each project.
  • Performing project quality internal audits to ensure implementation of approved PQP.
  • Works in collaboration with external auditors.
