Description

These roles support enterprise sales efforts by combining deep network engineering expertise with strong customer-facing presentation and demonstration skills. The position partners with sales teams to articulate, demonstrate, and position network security and observability solutions—both software and hardware—to complex enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with enterprise sales teams to support pre-sales activities, including discovery, solution positioning, and technical validation

  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to customer environments and use cases

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating network and security challenges into effective solution architectures

  • Demonstrate and explain network performance monitoring, application performance monitoring, and observability capabilities

  • Support the sales cycle by designing proofs of concept, pilots, and technical evaluations

  • Communicate the value of both software and hardware-based solutions to enterprise customers

  • Engage with customer network teams to discuss architecture, topology, and operational requirements

  • Present confidently to technical and executive audiences, adapting messaging as needed

  • Support opportunities across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments

  • Stay current on industry trends in network security, observability, and service assurance


Requirements

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Proven experience in Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering

  • Strong ability to present, demonstrate, and explain technology to enterprise customers

  • Comfortable leading technical discussions, demos, and customer workshops

  • Vendor-side experience selling software, hardware, or combined solutions strongly preferred

Network Engineering & Security Expertise

  • Strong background in network engineering and network security

  • Hands-on knowledge of:

    • Routing and switching

    • TCP/IP

    • BGP

    • SNMP

    • NetFlow

    • VoIP

    • Layer 4–7 networking concepts

  • Experience working with Juniper products

  • Solid understanding of Cisco routing, switching, gateways, and network applications

  • Familiarity with packet-switched networks and network infrastructure concepts

Observability, Monitoring & Analysis

  • Experience with Network Performance Monitoring (NPM)

  • Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM)

  • Knowledge of service assurance and network observability platforms

  • Hands-on exposure to packet analysis tools, including Wireshark or similar sniffers

Infrastructure & Platforms

  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems

  • Familiarity with cloud and virtualization environments, including:

    • AWS

    • VMware

  • Experience supporting or discussing LAN and WAN architectures, including:

    • MPLS

    • Frame Relay

    • ATM

Professional Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Strong ability to explain complex technical topics clearly

  • Confident, customer-focused, and collaborative approach
