With increasing demand and new business ventures, they are currently looking for a Senior/Regional Purchasing Manager to be an integral part of their business to assist and continue to improve the Value Chain.

Job Description

Your major responsibilities will involve managing a team of four buyers and spend portfolio mainly in Food, Professional and Engineering Services. This role will be covering South East Asia including Japan and Korea.

Your other responsibilities include:

  • Category ownership in your portfolio – Food, Marketing, IT, energy and other indirect services.
  • Managing a team of four buyers.
  • Sourcing and negotiation with Vendors and Suppliers
  • Vendors/Supplier Performance Management
  • RFP/RFQ
  • Perform root-cause analysis and identify gaps for improvements
  • Procurement activities to support product trials & NPIs
  • Monthly Distributor meetings
  • Extensive Stakeholder engagement

The Successful Applicant

You should possess a degree in Supply Chain or equivalent related studies and you must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Procurement or Category Management. Experience in FMCG/F&B/e-Commerce sectors will be an advantage. You should also be strong with analytics as well as be sensitive to trends. Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment is essential.
