The Role

This full-time role will be based in Auckland to provide support in the delivery of procurement project. You will work alongside the Executive Regional Manager to support business growth.

The Junior Procurement Consultant is an exciting and diverse role where you will actively contribute to the delivery of our programs and projects. With high levels of exposure to our fast paced and diverse organisation, you will work with our Executive, Consultants and Project Managers, giving you high visibility and learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

•      Work with the Executive, Project Managers and delivery team to deliver projects and programs of work

•      Support the delivery and maintenance of ongoing projects including assisting project teams to provide advice and solutions to a variety of clients on a range of procurement and logistics topics including, price management, logistics and supply chain management, inventory management, purchasing systems and e-procurement

•      Working with Senior Consultants to analyse supply markets including trends, types of market and the development of appropriate purchasing strategies

•      Maintain documentation, governance and quality assurance standards

•      When required, work on client site in a project support capacity

•      Supporting the Executive Regional Manager of NZ in developing growth opportunities

•      Coordination and production of own workload and supporting others in their projects

•      Ensuring a balance of project delivery and delivering great client outcomes alongside supporting NZ growth opportunities

About You

The Junior Consultant is expected to be competent in the following areas:

·         A full work visa or ability to work in NZ is required

·         A tertiary qualification and/or recognised procurement accreditation in procurement

·         Proven relevant experience in procurement will be preferred

·         Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels

·         Ability to work independently, efficiently and as part of a team

·         Have a proactive and pre-emptive approach to business needs

·         Exceptional organisational skills

·         Have a strong sense of urgency with the ability to meet critical deadlines

·         High attention to detail and accuracy

·         Strong initiative and capable of scanning the environment and responding appropriately

·         Demonstrates enthusiasm and team orientation

·         An understanding of supply markets, supplier management and procurement and purchasing strategies
