We're on the lookout for a skilled Construction Engineer to take charge of the engineering aspects of a utilities scale PV Solar plant project in the Greater Houston area. Responsibilities:
- From a client point of view oversee construction projects and collaborate with contractors (EPC)
- Conduct surveys, site setups, and ensure accurate technical designs implementation
- Supervise contracted personnel to ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines
- Act as a liaison with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and local authorities
- Offer technical advice and troubleshoot on-site issues
- Prepare comprehensive site reports and monitor project progress
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and sustainability policies
- Provide monthly internal reports detailing project status
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated project management experience, preferably in utility-scale PV solar projects
- Familiarity with legal language in contracts
Location Note: Candidates must be based in the Victoria County, TX area or be willing to relocate/commute reliably. This is a site-based role.
