Data Visualization Developer

We are looking for a talented, self-starter with a passion for data visualization to join our growing team. Our BI and Data Visualization team is the key in allowing for our client to leverage data-driven decisions and actions. As a senior Data Visualization Developer, you will play a key role in a team of cross-functional partners and analytics professionals to help define the problem statement and requirements, in order to develop and implement robust data visualization and dashboarding solutions to enable business decisions, drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals for our client.

Responsabilities

• Build and deploy robust data visualization reports in PowerBI, dashboards and insights within a focused area of the Brenntag business value stream to enable business decisions, drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals specifically for the LATAM region
• Evolve analytics capabilities and champion visualization and dashboarding best practices for development, data quality and deployment, including fast, iterative experimentation and measurement
• Project manage and deliver large visualization projects with multiple business stakeholders on firm deadlines
• Utilize expertise to collaborate with key partners to understand requirements for dashboards and interactive dashboards, to drive knowledge into action and support data driven decision making
• Lead development and ongoing management of tools and processes, establishing metrics to monitor plans and communicate critical reports
• Work independently and take initiative to identify, explore and solve problems in LATAM region
• Document and communicate systems/analytics changes to the business, translating complex functionality into business relevant language
• Collaborate with Global Analytics team to iterate on the design and implementation of data visualization products
• Serve as an expert on data visualization and self-service analytics supporting a community of analysts across the LATAM organization
• Keep current on data visualization technology and best practices

Experience and Skills

• Min. 5 years of relevant experience developing dashboards, data visualizations and self-service tools
• Strong experience in leveraging data visualization and dashboarding techniques to make complex data more accessible, understandable and usable to drive business decisions and outcomes
• Expert with data extraction, data modelling and analysis technologies such as Power BI, QlikSense, QlikView, SQL or similar tools
• Experienced in developing, testing and implementing/maintaining intuitive dashboards and self service tools
• Ability to collaborate with key partners to understand/identify requirements, drive knowledge into action and support data driven decision making
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
• Experience in definition of new measures, and the translation of business goals into quantitative metrics and reporting
• Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses and make recommendations required
• Ability to work independently requiring minimal direction, execute large projects following established guidelines/procedures and take initiative to explore and solve problems
• Experience with large data sets, data models, and intermediate SQL skills; experience with a statistical package is a plus (such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.)
• Availability during Central Standard Timezone (CST) working hours
• Experience with Agile way of working
• English B2 or higher
• This position is open only to candidates based in Latin America
