Responsabilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices in .NET 8 (C#) and Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Lead the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) integration: provisioning host pools, managing workspaces, and assigning users via the Azure Resource Manager SDK.
  • Build and evolve GraphQL (Apollo Server) and REST APIs consumed by the K12 Portal.
  • Implement authentication and authorization using Azure AD / Microsoft Identity, Firebase Auth, and JWT.
  • Own and extend infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
  • Collaborate with the product team to translate school district requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, define engineering standards, and mentor junior/mid engineers.
  • Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform.

Required Qualifications

Languages & Frameworks

  • .NET 8 / C# with ASP.NET Core Web API — clean architecture (Application / Infrastructure / Domain layers).
  • Node.js + TypeScript — event-driven services and GraphQL APIs.
  • GraphQL with Apollo Server (graphql-modules, graphql-shield) and REST with Express.js.

Azure

  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) — host pools, workspaces, session management, and user assignments.
  • Azure Identity SDK, Azure Resource Manager, Microsoft Graph API, and Microsoft Identity Web (MSAL).

Google Cloud Platform

  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Run, Firestore, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, KMS, BigQuery, and Cloud Build.

Data & Infrastructure

  • Redis for caching and session management; Firestore as the primary NoSQL store.
  • Docker for containerization, Terraform for IaC, and Google Cloud Build for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English (B2+ / C1)
  • Only candidates from Latin America
