An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic leader to join the school as Head of Senior School. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, suited to an individual with a strong track record of educational leadership and a passion for driving excellence across all aspects of Senior School provision.

The Role
The Head of Senior School provides professional leadership and direction to all faculty and staff within the Senior School (Years 9–12). This is a hands-on leadership position, requiring a visible, collaborative and supportive approach to school leadership.

Working closely with the School Principal and Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the strategic direction of the school and fostering a dynamic, forward-thinking learning environment.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Senior School

  • Ensure high standards of student achievement, curriculum delivery, and quality of teaching and learning

  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team, VCE Coordinator, Heads of Department, Senior School Teachers, Head of Boarding, and Director of VCE and Culture Advisor

  • Promote a holistic and inclusive educational environment

  • Provide clear vision and strategic direction for the continued development of the Senior School


Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years' teaching experience

  • Proven leadership experience within a senior school setting

  • Experience with international curricula (VCE, CAIE, IB, IEB or similar)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across the school community

  • A hands-on, proactive leadership style with a commitment to excellence

  • Reports to the School Principal

  • A clear enhanced DBS and/or police check is required
