The Opportunity

Due to continued growth in student enrolment, the British School Jakarta (BSJ) is seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Safeguarding & Child Protection Lead to join its Secondary team from August 2026.

This is a key leadership role within the school, offering the opportunity to shape and lead safeguarding practice across a leading international school in South East Asia.

The Role

As Safeguarding & Child Protection Lead, you will:

• Lead and coordinate safeguarding and child protection across the whole school
• Promote a proactive safeguarding culture, ensuring early identification of risks
• Provide guidance, training and support to staff on safeguarding practices
• Develop and oversee safeguarding policies in line with international standards
• Work closely with students, families, staff and external agencies to ensure student wellbeing and safety

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A strong track record of outstanding teaching experience
• The ability to teach across the Secondary age range
• Excellent subject knowledge
• A passion for high-quality teaching and learning
• At least 5 years' relevant experience aligned with the role
