The Role
GES is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Music Teacher to deliver the IGCSE and A Level curriculum from September 2025. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive department dedicated to fostering a love for music and performance across the secondary school.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the British curriculum

Prepare students for IGCSE and A Level Music examinations

Promote student participation in a wide range of musical performances and activities

Contribute to school-wide events, concerts, and assemblies

Maintain a stimulating and well-managed classroom environment

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the departments co-curricular offering

Provide regular assessment and feedback to support student progress
Candidate Requirements

Bachelors degree in Music Education or a related field (Masters preferred)

UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or QTS)

Minimum of 35 years experience teaching in a British curriculum school

Native English speaker with British nationality (visa requirement)

Strong knowledge of IGCSE and A Level Music syllabi
