We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Kindergarten Teacher to join the Early Years team from September 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners and will work collaboratively with colleagues to support the schools mission of educating global citizens.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning

Deliver high-quality, child-centred lessons aligned with the school's values and Ontario curriculum.

Promote the schools mission and vision, encouraging students to grow as curious, compassionate global citizens.

Assess and monitor student development using a range of methods; maintain accurate and thorough records.

Adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs and support inclusion for all students.

Collaborate with the Learning Support Coordinator, Designated Safeguarding Lead, and Well-being Lead as needed.

Participate actively in school life, events, and co-curricular activities.
Planning and Classroom Management

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that stimulate creativity, inquiry, and personal growth.

Create a safe, welcoming, and organised classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.

Use classroom resources and outdoor spaces effectively, including nearby green areas for outdoor learning.

Communicate regularly and effectively with families to support student progress and well-being.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of early years pedagogy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
Qualifications

Bachelor of Education (Ontario or equivalent).

Certified to teach Kindergarten students.

In good standing with a recognised teaching authority.

Native-level fluency in English (C2).
Experience & Skills

Minimum of 3 years experience teaching Kindergarten or Early Years.

Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum or other child-centred, inquiry-based frameworks.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-focused mindset.

Experience with outdoor learning and innovative classroom practices.

Ability to nurture each childs strengths and support their individual learning journey.

Experience in international or bilingual settings is an asset.
