Commencing Aug 25 - The school, founded in 2016, is a K-12 international school located at the foot of the picturesque and historic YuQuan Mountain, Haidian District in Beijing. The campus is 200,000 square meters of beautiful gardens that integrate natural ecology, cultural heritage, and modern beauty with 140,000 square meters of green space.
The school curriculum is organized into the Primary School, grades K-5, the Middle School, grades 6-8, and High School, grades 9-12. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Educations nine-year compulsory education program, the curriculum is built on the strength from both Chinese and western education.
For Primary and Middle School, the school follows a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards along with the Chinese National Curriculum.
For High School, the school follows the US Common Core and College Board AP curriculum and also offers the UK IGCSE and A-Level UK programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development:
- Design and deliver challenging and engaging AP Computer Science lessons in accordance with College Board standards.
- Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect the latest advancements in computer science and programming languages.
- Coding Proficiency:
- Facilitate the development of coding skills among students, emphasizing problem-solving, algorithmic thinking, and effective programming techniques.
- Provide hands-on coding experiences through projects and real-world applications.
- Exam Preparation:
- Implement effective strategies to prepare students for success in the AP Computer Science exams.
- Conduct practice exams, review sessions, and targeted instruction on exam formats and requirements.
- Student Engagement:
- Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and active participation in computer science discussions and projects.
- Support students in developing a passion for technology and computational thinking.
- Technology Integration:
- Integrate technology tools and resources to enhance the learning experience and expose students to industry-relevant technologies.
- Foster digital literacy and awareness of ethical considerations in computer science.
- Assessment and Feedback:
- Develop and implement a variety of assessment methods to measure student understanding and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth as computer scientists.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with developments in computer science education, including changes to AP Computer Science curriculum and exam requirements.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
(For secondary ELA and Primary Homeroom Teachers): Applicants must hold a passport from the US, UK, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, or Canada.
For all other teaching positions: Applications are open to persons of any nationality
- Four-year degree from an accredited university
- Bachelor of Education, PGCE or higher
- Teaching license: QTS, national/state teaching license/certificate or equivalent
- Three years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state school
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum qualifications, plus the following:
- Masters degree, preferably in education or the subject the teacher instructs
- Five years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or
government/state school
- Candidates currently living in China are preferred
Remuneration & Benefits
The salary ($53k-$65K) and benefits package provided is highly competitive depending on the
qualifications and experiences of the successful candidate.
