Role Overview:

Sancta Maria is seeking a skilled and energetic Gymnastics Coach to lead and develop its school gymnastics programme. The successful candidate will have a passion for physical education, experience working with school-age children, and the ability to inspire students to achieve their physical potential through structured, safe, and enjoyable coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality gymnastics coaching sessions for students across various age groups
• Develop students flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, and confidence in line with physical education goals
• Identify individual strengths and tailor training programs accordingly
• Organise and oversee school gymnastics events, inter-school competitions, and exhibitions
• Ensure the safety of all students during training, maintaining correct equipment usage and discipline
• Collaborate with PE staff and contribute to the wider sports programme of the school
• Maintain records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and relevant staff
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating atmosphere that encourages participation and effort
• Supervise students during training and ensure safeguarding policies are upheld at all times

Candidate Profile:

• Certified Gymnastics Coach or relevant degree in Sports/Physical Education required
• Experience coaching school-age children preferred
• Strong understanding of gymnastics techniques, safety protocols, and progression planning
• Excellent communication and motivational skills
• A team player with a passion for health, fitness, and youth development
• First aid certification preferred
