The School
We are recruiting for a highly regarded international school in Indonesia, located on an impressive 44-acre campus in the vibrant city of Jakarta. The school is a welcoming, close-knit community representing over 50 nationalities, with students aged 2 to 18 years.
Situated in South West Jakarta, the school's state-of-the-art facilities support a rich educational experience from exceptional academic classrooms to outstanding arts, sports, and recreational amenities. The curriculum begins with the UK Early Years Framework, moves through the English National Curriculum and inquiry-based learning in Primary, and transitions to the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-related Programme (CP) in Secondary.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate, experienced Teacher of Business Management & Economics to join the Secondary faculty. The successful candidate will teach across the MYP, DP, and CP programmes, engaging students through inquiry, case-based learning, and applied business theory.

Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Delivery

Teach Business Management and Economics to students in Years 1013 (IB MYP, DP, and/or CP)

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with IB principles

Promote critical thinking, global awareness, and ethical decision-making

Support students with academic writing, research, and presentation skills

Prepare students for internal and external IB assessments
2. Student Support & Assessment

Monitor and assess student progress using a range of formative and summative tools

Provide timely, constructive feedback and academic guidance

Support students with coursework, internal assessments, and extended projects
-
Foster students confidence, communication, and collaboration skills
3. Professional Collaboration
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Secondary School

Participate in departmental planning, IB curriculum development, and school initiatives

Maintain communication with students, parents, and school leadership
-
Engage in ongoing professional development and IB training
4. Contribution to School Life

Participate in extracurricular activities and business-related enrichment (e.g. enterprise clubs, competitions, simulations)

Contribute to school events, trips, and community outreach

Uphold and promote the values and mission of the school
Candidate Profile
-
A relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related subject (required)

Certified Quality Teacher Status or equivalent (required)

Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience (required)

Experience with IB MYP, DP, or CP (strongly preferred)

Excellent classroom management and communication skills
