Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic High School English Language Arts Teacher to join our prestigious international school in Beijing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of English literature and language, ready to inspire and engage a diverse body of students from various cultural backgrounds.

The school, founded in 2016, is a K-12 international school located at the foot of the picturesque and historic YuQuan Mountain, Haidian District in Beijing. The campus is 200,000 square meters of beautiful gardens that integrate natural ecology, cultural heritage, and modern beauty with 140,000 square meters of green space.

The school curriculum is organized into the Primary School, grades K-5, the Middle School, grades 6-8, and High School, grades 9-12. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Educations nine-year compulsory education program, the curriculum is built on the strength from both Chinese and western education.
For Primary and Middle School, the school follows a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards along with the Chinese National Curriculum.
For High School, the school follows the US Common Core and College Board AP curriculum and also offers the UK IGCSE and A-Level UK programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that align with the school's curriculum and standards.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and appreciation for English literature and language arts.
  • Evaluate and assess student progress through both formative and summative assessments.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress.
  • Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and events.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to promote interdisciplinary learning.
  • Continue professional development to enhance teaching and cultural understanding.

Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
(For secondary ELA and Primary Homeroom Teachers): Applicants must hold a passport from the US, UK, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, or Canada.
For all other teaching positions: Applications are open to persons of any nationality
- Four-year degree from an accredited university
- Bachelor of Education, PGCE or higher
- Teaching license: QTS, national/state teaching license/certificate or equivalent
- Three years of experience teaching in a bilingual school, international school, or government/state school

Remuneration & Benefits

The salary and benefits package provided is highly competitive depending on the
qualifications and experiences of the successful candidate.
