About the Role
As part of our ongoing growth and curriculum expansion at the VCE level, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled Media Teacher to join our Senior School team. The successful candidate will be a passionate educator with a solid grounding in media theory, production, and contemporary media issues. You will guide students in the design and creation of media products across a range of formatsincluding film, television, audio, photography, print, digital, and animationwhile fostering their critical and analytical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Deliver high-quality lessons to students in Years 10 - 12
 - 
Plan and implement engaging, creative, and well-structured learning experiences
 - 
Guide students in hands-on media production across multiple formats
 - 
Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes student achievement and enthusiasm
 - 
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and school initiatives
 - 
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
 - 
Uphold and contribute to the schools safeguarding and child protection standards
 
Requirements
Essential:
- 
A minimum of 6 years of teaching experience
 - 
A recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, or Degree with PGCE)
 - 
Fluency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 - 
Experience teaching media at VCE, CAIE, IB, IEB, or another recognised curriculum
 - 
Strong classroom management and administrative skills
 - 
Passion for student development and success
 - 
Commitment to cultural sensitivity and adaptability in an international setting
 
Desirable:
- 
Experience with student management systems such as iSAMS or SIMS
 - 
Google Level 1 Educator certification
 - 
Prior teaching experience in Southeast Asia
 
Additional Information

Teaching Load: Approx. 16 lessons per week (30-period timetable)
 - 
Class Sizes: Approximately 20 students
 - 
Safeguarding: A clean enhanced DBS and/or local police clearance is mandatory
