About the School

Maple Bloom has an established reputation for delivering high-quality early and primary education within a nurturing, child-centred environment. Founded by a highly experienced UK educator with a successful background leading one of Solihull's top-rated pre-schools, the organisation has built a strong reputation for educational quality and parental trust over the past 13 years.

Following the successful launch of its first pre-school in Tanzania in 2020, Maple Bloom Elementary continues to grow within its purpose-built campus in the Masaki district of Dar es Salaam.

As a Pearson Edexcel approved centre, the school delivers the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and International Primary Curriculum (IPC), combining academic excellence with creativity, wellbeing, and holistic child development.

Due to continued expansion and the opening of a new campus, the school is now seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational Primary Principal to lead the next phase of development.


The Role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a strong educational leader with a clear vision for high-quality primary education and a commitment to building a positive, high-performing school culture.

The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operations of the Primary School while driving academic standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring the delivery of an outstanding educational experience for students and families.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Primary School
  • Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement
  • Lead, mentor, and support teaching staff through effective professional development and performance management
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture built on collaboration, wellbeing, and respect
  • Ensure the successful implementation of the IPC and wider international best practices
  • Work closely with parents and the wider school community to strengthen engagement and communication
  • Support school growth, improvement planning, and the continued development of the new campus
  • Uphold safeguarding, student welfare, and operational excellence across the school

Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification together with relevant leadership experience
  • Strong academic background and proven leadership within a primary or international school setting
  • Experience leading teams, driving school improvement, and raising academic standards
  • Strong understanding of international education and child-centred learning approaches
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire staff, build relationships, and lead with professionalism and integrity
  • Experience with IPC, British curriculum, or similar international frameworks is advantageous
