The Role

Maple Bloom International School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic ESL Secondary Teacher to join its growing Secondary School team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who can support students in developing confidence and fluency in English within an international learning environment.

The successful candidate will work with secondary-aged students to develop their English language skills across reading, writing, speaking, and listening while supporting wider academic achievement across the curriculum.

The role would suit a teacher who is energetic, patient, and committed to helping students thrive within a diverse and multicultural school community.

Experience teaching English as a Second Language within international schools or British curriculum environments would be highly advantageous.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English as a Second Language across Secondary age ranges
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that support language acquisition and student confidence
  • Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
  • Monitor and assess student progress and provide appropriate feedback and support
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students across the curriculum
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and student wellbeing
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community


Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Degree in English, Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or related field
  • Previous experience teaching ESL or EAL within Secondary education
  • Experience within an international or British curriculum school desirable
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to support students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
  • A collaborative and flexible approach suited to a growing international school environment
  • Passion for language learning and student development
