The Role
Maple Bloom International School is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of IT to join its growing international school community.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a technology specialist who is passionate about digital learning, innovation, and the strategic development of IT systems within an educational environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and developing the school's technology infrastructure while helping drive the continued integration of digital learning across the curriculum.
The role would suit a motivated and solutions-focused professional who enjoys working collaboratively within a modern and expanding international school environment.
Experience within international schools, British curriculum settings, or Pearson Edexcel environments would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the school's IT infrastructure and systems
- Support the continued development of digital learning across the school
- Oversee network management, hardware, software, and IT security
- Provide technical support and guidance to teaching and administrative staff
- Maintain and develop classroom technology and specialist IT facilities
- Support the implementation of educational technology initiatives
- Coordinate external IT support providers where required
- Ensure effective safeguarding and online safety procedures
- Contribute to future-focused technology planning and innovation
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of all school technology systems
Candidate Profile
- The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- Relevant degree or professional qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Previous experience managing IT systems within a school or educational environment
- Strong technical knowledge across networks, hardware, software, and systems support
- Experience supporting educational technology and digital learning initiatives
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead projects and work collaboratively with staff across the school
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Experience within international schools desirable
