The Role

Maple Bloom International School is seeking an experienced and compassionate SENCO to join its growing international school community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about inclusion and supporting students with a range of additional learning needs within an international school setting.

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the school's provision for students requiring additional support while working closely with teachers, parents, and leadership to ensure students are able to access learning successfully and achieve their full potential.

The role would suit a proactive and collaborative professional who enjoys building inclusive learning environments and supporting both students and staff.

Experience within British curriculum, international schools, or inclusive education settings would be highly advantageous.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate provision for students with additional learning needs
  • Support teachers in implementing effective differentiation and inclusive classroom strategies
  • Develop and monitor individual learning plans and support interventions
  • Work closely with parents, staff, and external professionals where appropriate
  • Identify and assess students requiring additional support
  • Promote inclusive teaching practices and student wellbeing across the school
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Provide guidance and professional support to colleagues regarding SEND provision
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community


Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Relevant SENCO or Special Educational Needs qualification desirable
  • Previous experience working within SEND or inclusive education environments
  • Experience within an international or British curriculum school desirable
  • Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and collaboration skills
  • A compassionate and student-centred approach
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues within a multicultural environment
