Accounting Specialist

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a well-established Architecture firm in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to identify an experienced Accounting Specialist to join their dynamic team. This is a temporary-to-permanent position offering a path to long-term employment with a highly respected firm known for design excellence, collaborative culture, and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Deltek software
• Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare and issue client invoices in coordination with project managers
• Maintain general ledger entries, journal postings, and account reconciliations
• Administer payroll for up to 30 employees, ensuring accuracy in wages, benefits, and deductions
• Support month-end and year-end closings, including preparation of financial statements and reports
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Maintain organized, compliant accounting files and ensure timely vendor payments

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting and payroll experience, ideally in a professional services or project-based environment
• Prior experience or familiarity with Deltek preferred
• Strong proficiency in Excel and general accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with project and management teams
