Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with an established manufacturing company in Batesville, Arkansas, to find a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with a strong general accounting background who is eager to expand their skills and gain exposure to manufacturing and cost accounting. Prior manufacturing or cost accounting is experience is helpful but not required, and training will be provided.

The company offers a collaborative, flexible work environment where team members support one another, take initiative, and have opportunities to learn new things. This role also provides exposure to international operations and a broad range of accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support month-end close.
• Learn and support manufacturing cost accounting activities, including standard costing, inventory, manufacturing cost rates, and bills of materials.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, and monthly financial analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset records and related accounting activities.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with annual audits and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment.
• Strong general accounting foundation, including general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Manufacturing or cost accounting experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates with solid general accounting experience and an interest in developing cost accounting skills are encouraged to apply.
