Arkansas Talent Group is searching for our client's next District Controller!
This is a high-impact leadership role supporting a growing, multi-location operation across Northern Arkansas and Louisiana. The District Controller will oversee accounting functions for several operating sites while partnering closely with operational leadership to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making. This position is based in-office in Heber Springs, AR and supports locations including Heber Springs, Beebe, Ash Flat, Cherokee Village, Harrison, and Gassville. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and balance sheets for multiple locations
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy across all entities
- Develop and maintain monthly forecasts and financial projections
- Provide detailed variance analysis comparing actuals to budget and forecast
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Ensure internal controls are properly implemented and functioning effectively
- Support and participate in annual budgeting processes
- Prepare capital expenditure requests with supporting documentation
- Partner with District Managers to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making
- Communicate financial performance and key metrics to cross-functional teams
- Coordinate and support audits and other compliance-related activities
- Lead inventory counts and related reporting processes
- Train, coach, and develop team members while setting performance goals
- Provide financial training to non-financial personnel
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Travel to other office locations as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- CPA certification preferred
- 4–7 years of relevant accounting and leadership experience
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financials to operations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and initiative to learn
Compensation & Benefits
- Target base salary around $100,000 (flexible based on experience)
- Annual target bonus of 20% plus 20% RSU bonus.
