Accounting Business Analyst (Banking)

Location: Onsite - Little Rock, AR – must currently reside locally. No relocation.

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a Large Bank in Little Rock, AR to hire an Accounting Business Analyst supporting the Accounting team.

The Accounting Business Analyst functions within the Controller's group, partnering closely with Accounting to improve processes, support systems, and lead projects tied to financial data and reporting. The right person will understand how accounting workflows operate and be able to translate those into system and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to gather and document business requirements and understand operational needs
• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables while leading initiatives to enhance or implement business solutions
• Evaluate current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and lead efforts to research, test, and implement approved enhancements
• Translate accounting workflows (GL activity, reconciliations, loan transactions) into system and process enhancements

Ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in Accounting, with direct experience supporting accounting or financial systems required
• Knowledge of loan accounting systems, accounting principles, and GAAP required
• Ability to manage projects, gather requirements, and drive solutions
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to support and improve technology solutions across teams
• Must currently reside in the Little Rock, AR area (relocation not provided)
