Responsibilities:
Invoice Intake Specialist: Process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
Vendor Relations Pro: Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
Payment Processing Driver: Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers, keeping obligations on track.
Reconciliation Expert: Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable subledger to the general ledger with precision.
Expense Accuracy Advocate: Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents, ensuring all expenses are properly supported.
Compliance Navigator: Maintain adherence to company policies and internal controls, ensuring audit-ready documentation at all times.
1099 Support: Assist with 1099 tracking and year-end reporting to ensure compliance with IRS requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows and improve efficiency across the department.
Recordkeeping Champion: Maintain organized and accurate AP files, both digital and physical, for easy retrieval and reporting.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with purchasing, operations, and accounting teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of one - two year(s) of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role.
-Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.
-Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
-Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and AP processes.
-Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
-Experience in the dealership industry preferred.
-An associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
