About the job Staff Accountant (Remote)
Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Experienced Senior Staff Accountant with 4-5+ years of progressive accounting experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing multiple sets of books across various entities, with a strong focus on general ledger accounting, reconciliations, revenue analysis, and month-end close processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence within the accounting function. This is a fast paced high-growth industry, backed by PE, and they have more than tripled over the last few years. We are looking for candidates local to Central Arkansas at this time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger for multiple entities/companies.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure timely and accurate month-end close.
- Perform complex balance sheet and bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
- Conduct revenue analysis, including trend reviews, variance explanations, and supporting operational reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages.
- Assist in year-end audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and responding to auditor requests.
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and other departments to support accuracy in reporting.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline accounting tasks and improve efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field highly preferred.
- 4-5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in multi-entity environments handling high-volume bookkeeping in quickbooks.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger processes.
- Proficiency in account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting software (NetSuite and QuickBooks) strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment-must have high-volume bookkeeping for multiple entities and heavy reconciliation experience.
