Senior Accountant

Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our longtime clients accounting team. In this role, you'll take ownership of critical financial tasks, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and play a key part in the month-end close and financial reporting process. We are looking for someone who's detail-oriented, well-versed in accounting principles, and comfortable tackling challenges in a busy, fast-moving workplace.

Duties: 

• Lead core accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and transactional reviews to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Manage financial close activities on a monthly and quarterly basis by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing general ledger data.
• Produce financial statements, maintain schedules, and ensure timely reporting aligned with internal and external compliance guidelines.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing needed documentation and resolving discrepancies.
• Contribute to process enhancements by recommending and implementing improvements to reporting workflows and accounting systems.
• Monitor key tax and regulatory changes and assist with compliance initiatives across multiple locations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions as necessary and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses to support business decision-making.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelors degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 3-7+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles; multi-entity or multi-state experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software platforms.
