Tax Manager

Arkansas Talent Group is working with a large premiere CPA firm in Little Rock, Arkansas to help them find a Tax Manager to lead client engagements and oversee compliance efforts across diverse industries including energy, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, financial services, nonprofit, and government sectors. This individual will be a trusted advisor to clients and a key leader within the tax team.

The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, values mentorship, and is committed to delivering high-quality service and strategic tax guidance. This role includes managing projects independently, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and guiding junior staff to ensure excellence in client service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagements and coordinate communications on complex tax matters.
• Manage all phases of tax compliance and consulting projects with minimal supervision.
• Review and sign off on complex tax returns across various entity types.
• Provide strategic tax planning and consultative support tailored to client goals.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors, ensuring timely, accurate work.
• Monitor project budgets, effectively managing billable hours and timelines.
• Contribute to firm initiatives, operational improvements, and business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Accounting
• CPA license preferred
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting or tax advisory experience
• Strong technical, analytical and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel & other tax software applications
