Senior Accountant/Controller

Arkansas Talent Group is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant ready to move into a leadership role as a Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily accounting operations and financial reporting. You will work closely with executive leadership and serve as a key point of contact for auditors, tax professionals, and financial institutions. This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting professional eager to lead process improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger activities, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
• Supervise the monthly and annual closing processes.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Generate management reports and financial analyses as requested.
• Evaluate and enhance existing accounting systems and software.
• Drive initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop, document, and enforce internal policies and controls to safeguard assets and data integrity.
• Liaise with company leadership, external auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and vendors.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, pro forma financials, and lots of reporting! 
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Superior communication, both verbal and written
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools, QuickBooks experience strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• CPA designation (strongly preferred, but not required)
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close processes
• Strong Senior accountant experience
