Arkansas Talent Group is working with one of Arkansas' premier disaster restoration companies to find their next Loss Specialist. The Loss Specialist serves as the primary point of contact and operational lead on restoration projects following disasters such as fire, water, or storm damage. This role is a blend of Estimator and Project Manager responsibilities, requiring site visits, direct collaboration with field Superintendents, property owners, and insurance adjusters. The ideal candidate will have strong sales acumen, hands-on construction or restoration experience, and proven expertise in building accurate estimates and project management for both residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating & Sales

    • Accurately scope, analyze, and quantify loss at damaged properties (commercial and residential).

    • Prepare and negotiate detailed estimates, quotes, and change orders, utilizing industry-standard software (e.g., Xactimate).

    • Establish payment terms and obtain work authorization from property owners or managers.

    • Maintain and develop client relationships from initial contact through project completion.

  • Project Management

    • Serve as the primary manager for assigned restoration projects, coordinate, schedule, and oversee all phases of the restoration process to ensure timely, on-budget delivery and compliance with quality standards.

    • Mobilize staff and subcontractors, assign tasks, and drive production according to scope and an established timeline.

    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with client expectations and contractual requirements.

    • Act as liaison between owners, insurance adjusters, and field operations.

    • Document project milestones, update reporting and billing systems, and participate in collections as needed.

  • Collaboration & Communication

    • Work collaboratively with superintendents, production crews, insurance representatives, and third-party vendors to facilitate efficient restoration and resolve issues.

    • Conduct project walk-throughs and manage final inspections to ensure client satisfaction at job closeout.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven background in sales, estimating, or project management within the construction, renovation, or property restoration industry.

  • Hands-on experience working on-site with teams and clients.

  • Proficiency with estimating tools/software (e.g., Xactimate preferred).

  • Flexibility in work schedule during disaster events.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects with flexibility and a sense of urgency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of project and/or team management.

  • Proven experience managing client/customer relationships.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Experience working directly with insurance adjusters and understanding of claims processes.

Compensation:
