The Treasury Accountant is responsible for a wide range of treasury and cash management functions within the organization. This role serves as the administrative lead for the Cash Reconciliation Software System (CARS), overseeing its daily operation, process improvement, and system management. The Treasury Accountant also completes treasury-related reconciliations and analysis, manages and monitors escrow accounts, prepares detailed reports for senior management, assists with internal and external audits, and serves as a backup for key treasury functions. Special projects and additional assignments may be directed by management to support strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and process owner for CARS, including managing daily operations, troubleshooting, and implementing process enhancements
  • Prepare and review treasury-related account reconciliations and financial analyses to ensure accuracy and timely reporting
  • Maintain and analyze escrow accounts, producing regular and ad hoc reports for senior leadership
  • Support and participate in various internal and external audits, preparing required documentation and responding to audit requests
  • Provide backup support for other treasury team members to ensure business continuity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects, systems upgrades, and process improvements as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and/or CPA designation (preferred, not required)
  • Minimum of 1-year public accounting experience or at least 3 years in accounting, finance, or treasury management roles; relevant education and certifications will be considered in evaluating experience
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is highly preferred, but not mandatory
  • Strong understanding of treasury accounting principles, cash management systems, and financial reconciliation
  • Proficient in financial analysis, problem solving, and process improvement
