SVP - Corporate Controller

Arkansas Talent Group's Executive Search Team is partnering with a Publicly Traded Company in Little Rock to help them find a Corporate Controller for their team. This is a very exciting and rare opportunity for Central Arkansas to work with one of the strongest Accounting Teams in the state. The position will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer but also work daily with the CFO and C-Suite Team.

The client is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee global accounting and financial reporting. This individual will be responsible for managing the accounting function, leading the month-end close and consolidation activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The Controller will also coordinate with external auditors, maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting, support timely regulatory filings, and contribute to the integration of corporate initiatives.

The ideal candidate will lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture that values continuous improvement and professional growth. The Controller will also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, providing actionable insights to inform executive leadership decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly financial close process, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and ensure accurate consolidation of financial data
• Enforce and monitor adherence to organization-wide accounting policies and procedures
• Build strong cross-functional relationships, providing training and support on accounting matters as needed
• Review and support the preparation of account reconciliations and related analyses
• Coordinate the accumulation of documentation and analysis for financial and tax audits
• Collaborate with accounting teams to standardize policies and practices across the enterprise
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• CPA
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Background in manufacturing accounting is advantageous
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance
• Strong consolidation experience

Corporate Controller must physically sit in Little Rock, this is not a remote or hybrid opportunity. Client can offer a relocation package as well.
