Arkansas Talent Group is searching for our client's next Sales/Acquisition Manager! This role plays a pivotal role in sourcing, negotiating, and finalizing the purchase of mineral and royalty interests within the energy sector. This position emphasizes relationship-building and effective communication to understand the needs and motivations of asset owners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. The role involves managing the full acquisition process, from initial outreach to contract closure, while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver competitive offers. Our client seeks someone preferably with industry experience, but if you are a successful sales manager and have experience with research, negotiations, and working with sellers, we would consider your experience to see if it's a fit. The position is located in Little Rock and is 100% in office. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and maintain contact with mineral and royalty owners nationwide using various communication channels (phone, email, etc.), leveraging CRM tools to track engagement and opportunities.
  • Negotiate terms and finalize agreements with prospective sellers, with support and guidance from senior leadership.
  • Oversee and organize a robust pipeline of prospects to consistently meet or exceed individual and team acquisition targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Work closely with internal teams across departments such as Operations, Investments, Land, Valuations, Engineering, and Legal to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Draft and present offer letters and supporting documentation to potential sellers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in mineral and royalty acquisitions, with a proven ability to close significant transaction volumes.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving at least $7 million in annual acquisitions.
  • Consistently ranked among the top performers in previous acquisition teams.
  • In-depth industry knowledge, including market trends and valuation methodologies within the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, with a talent for building rapport and trust with stakeholders.
  • Advanced negotiation, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability and effectiveness in fast-paced, collaborative, and small-team environments.

Highly desire similar industry experience or knowledge. Client will extensively check past supervisor references and be looking for tenure and progressive track record in candidates backgrounds.
