Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a successful Investment Group with 30+ entities over multiple industries in Little Rock to help them find an Experience Full Charge Bookkeeper to close the books for all entities working with the Controller. 

The Bookkeeper will oversee the month-end closing process and maintain accurate financial records across more than 30 legal entities. This position requires extensive multi-entity accounting experience, including management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations. You will play a key role in ensuring precise and timely financial close and reporting while supporting compliance and audit activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full accounting close process for all entities, including journal entry preparation, general ledger maintenance, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Review, reconcile, and analyze balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers for accuracy across multiple companies and jurisdictions.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing and recording across all entities.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations for bank accounts and other critical accounts monthly.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Assist with audit preparations and respond to audit inquiries related to multi-entity accounting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve process efficiencies.
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline multi-entity accounting operations.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, but experience in multi-entity accounting or public accounting will be acceptable. 
  • Minimum of 5+ years accounting experience with a significant focus on multi-entity accounting involving AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations.
  • Proven track record managing month-end close cycles for multiple entities or equivalent multi-company environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and financial controls.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with finance teams, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and take ownership of deliverables.
