About the job CFO (Restaurants/Family Office)
Arkansas Talent Group's Executive Search Group has been retained and exclusively working on one of the largest Restaurant Operators in the South to help them find a Chief Financial Officer for their organization! This position will be located in Little Rock, Arkansas and will be an in office role.
This is a group of ambitious entrepreneurs that have a very successful track record with large ambitions and need a true Finance leader to help them scale and grow. The company continues to acquire and build new locations, and this is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to drive organizational value, operational performance, and transactional success in a complex, fast-paced environment. Clients are also looking to create a Family Office in the coming years as well, so there are a lot of opportunities for growth in this role!
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide financial strategy and risk management across the business, ensuring alignment with growth, profitability, and long-term value creation goals
- Oversee general accounting, finance, construction, and integration activities for a 20+ person department. Drive improvements in process, reporting, cost controls, and forecasting for multi-unit operations
- Oversee accounting operations and ensure robust internal controls in a complex, multi-entity, high volume structure
- Deliver timely, accurate, and high-impact financial reports, dashboards, and forecasts to executives and the Board
- Drive high-level decision-making using advanced analytics, financial models, and scenario forecasting
- Lead due diligence, modelling, deal negotiation, and post-merger integration related to new acquisitions and divestitures
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements to improve margin and scalability.
- Play a central role preparing for potential large business transactions, including presentation of financials, working with advisors, and managing information flows
- Ensure financial best practices tailored to franchise operations; serve as a resource on unit economics, performance benchmarking, and cross-market expansion
- Act as a key financial voice with founders, board, lenders, and potential investors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CPA highly preferred
- Advanced ability in financial modelling, deal structuring, and capital markets
- Significant experience as a finance leader in multi-unit restaurant, franchise, or retail businesses, including deep operational oversight
- Demonstrated expertise in M&A and leading large corporate transactions, preferably in private equity-backed or high-growth settings
- Proven record of managing and developing large, cross-disciplinary teams (20+)
- Advanced ability in financial modelling, deal structuring, and capital markets
- Strong leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills
- Track record of success navigating business sales, investor relations, and/or establishment of a family office
