About the job Staff Accountant
Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a well-established Arkansas organization to identify their next Staff Accountant in Little Rock, AR.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to do more than simply process transactions and close the books each month. In this role, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting, financial reporting, operational, and process improvement activities while working closely with experienced accounting and finance leaders.

Duties will include:
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting support
- Support accounts payable processing and expense tracking
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with audit requests and compliance-related documentation
- Support general ledger maintenance and account analysis
- Collaborate with multiple departments to understand financial activity and support business operations
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects designed to increase efficiency and strengthen controls
- Assist with additional accounting and operational projects as needed
Ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2+ years of accounting experience required
- Public accounting, financial services, or corporate accounting experience preferred
- Understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
- Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and desire to grow professionally
