Controller

Arkansas Talent Group is helping it's client, a well-established and growing building products company, find an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. The company is looking for a hands-on financial leader who can oversee day-to-day accounting operations while helping ownership maintain strong financial visibility as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management

• Lead the monthly close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

• Prepare and analyze financial statements for ownership and leadership

• Maintain and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting systems

• Manage cash flow and support budgeting and financial planning efforts

• Coordinate with external CPA and advisors on tax and compliance matters

• Provide financial insights that support operational decision-making

• Serve as the primary accounting leader for a growing multi-division business

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including leadership or supervisory responsibility

• Experience managing full-cycle accounting and month-end close

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting best practices

• Ability to operate in a hands-on small business environment

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• CPA preferred but not required

• Experience in construction, building products, manufacturing, or similar industries is a plus
