General Production Supervisor

The General Production Supervisor leads the entire cycle of the production process, ensuring the smooth flow of operations according to established standards in terms of cost, delivery, and quality. Additionally, they are responsible for implementing continuous improvements to optimize processes, reduce costs, enhance product quality, and decrease production times. They also maintain a safe, ergonomic, and pleasant work environment for operators, while keeping turnover levels low and ensuring high safety standards in all work areas.

Education Required.

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Required Experience: 

  • 5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Production, Project Management.
  • 3 years experience in Metal Mechanics, Cooling Towers, and SAP.

Specific Requirements:

  • English language at an intermediate level
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Initiative to solve problems and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Customer orientation and focus on quality.
  • ISO 9001, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Computer tools such as MS Office and SAP.
  • Experience in handling manual tools, CNC/automatic equipment, and welding processes.

Training and Specific Skills:

  • Technical knowledge in various fields of manufacturing.
  • Competencies in time management, task prioritization, and resource management.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and problem-solving.

Indirect Reports: Salaried Employees: 16, Unionized Employees: 180

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Establish general KPIs for the production process.
  • Define and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly objectives to the team.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and scheduling activities.
  • Supervise and train employees and operators.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Ensure production profitability in terms of costs and schedules.
  • Generate reports on operation performance and progress.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to identify issues and suggest improvements.
  • Train new employees in the safe operation of machinery and tools.
  • Strictly enforce company standards and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a cordial, ergonomic, and safe work environment.
  • Write, review, and approve documents such as procedures and reports.
  • Collaborate with human resources in the selection and training of personnel.
  • Supervise compliance with specified operation plans.
