International Trade Compliance Leader

Ensure that import and export operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to Customs and Tax regulations, and follow the procedures and policies developed by the company for this purpose. Serve as a liaison with all operational areas requiring Foreign Trade support. Control and supervision of all types of import and export permits and documents related to foreign trade operations. Execute activities necessary to comply with the Comprehensive Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), CTPAT, and VAT/Excise Tax Certification.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in foreign Trade, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 5 years as an International Trade Compliance Leader
  • Experience: 5 years in Customs Agents, Certificates of Origin, IMMEX Import and Export Pediments, Customs Regulations, Traffic and Logistics.
  • English: Professional level

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Compile required information for ITC operations at the start of the MTY project, including all necessary permits.
  • Gather necessary information for the initial importations of Machinery and Equipment and Raw Materials to be timely and accurately conducted.
  • Set up all necessary operations for Sub-maquila operations.
  • Develop required reports in collaboration with IT for ITC operations in software to manage Annex 24 and 30, as well as invoices for import and export.
  • Provide necessary support within the team for CTPAT and AEO certification in a timely manner.
  • Conduct all activities related to the maintenance of the Authorized Economic Operator and CTPAT certification, including process audits.
  • Prepare and adhere to the departmental budget.
  • Coordinate all activities related to the maintenance of VAT/Excise Tax certification.
  • Ensure all import and export operations are conducted with integrity and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and the company's standards and policies at all levels.
  • Provide support to Traffic area (Logistics Management) legal and operational requirements, providing all necessary documents for import and export operations, such as special permits, letters, and certificates of origin.
  • Support areas requiring Foreign Trade operations, participating in the preparation of documentation and activities necessary to complete them.
  • Ensure Virtual Import and Export Operations are conducted timely and accurately.
  • Prepare Sub-Maquila reports timely and accurate.
  • Ensure the integrity of the information contained in Annex 24 and presented in Annex 31, carrying out all required activities for this purpose.
  • Coordinate the proper follow-up of temporary imports of machinery and equipment, including their identification.
  • Financial / Non-Financial Dimensions: Payment of Customs Duties, Import/Export Permits
