About the Role:
The company develops games and applications for its proprietary cube-based gaming device. Now we are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to ensure that the product and applications are stable, enjoyable, and aligned with design expectations. The role includes hands-on testing on the device, close collaboration with developers and UX/UI designers, and participation in ensuring that each release meets the required standards of quality and user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Test games and applications running on the device (functional, regression, exploratory, and smoke testing)
- Analyze, reproduce, and document defects with clear, reproducible bug reports in the bug tracker
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases, checklists, and concise test reports
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and producers to clarify requirements, expected behavior, and edge cases
- Participate in build verification and pre-release testing, ensuring stability and playability across different firmware versions
- Contribute to improving testing processes and internal QA documentation
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of software testing theory (positive/negative testing, regression, exploratory, etc.)
- Knowledge of test design techniques and bug life cycle management
- 3+ years of QA experience, preferably in game development or embedded systems testing
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, YouTrack, or similar)
- Basic experience working with logs, builds, and debug tools
- Ability to write clear, structured, and reproducible defect reports
- English level B1 or higher (reading and writing technical documentation)
- Time zone: European time zones preferred (±1h from Cyprus)
