Our client, a new Silicon Valley-based profitable B2C product startup building innovative mobile solutions for the planet, is now looking for a QA Engineer with a solid background in web or mobile testing. They should be able to work on multiple applications and ensure smooth work and the best user experience for the company`s apps.

About project and position:

Based in Silicon Valley and backed by top-tier VCs is a new mobile innovator delivering exciting new products for consumers across the planet.
The company has a flagship VPN application that drives ~10M MAUs. There are others in the portfolio as well as others in development.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Web Development team, Mobile Development team, DevOps team, and stakeholders.
  • Help the Customer Service Support team troubleshoot user issues.
  • Verify initial task requirements.
  • Review, update, and execute test cases.
  • Pre-release and post-release activities.
  • Bug Reporting, verification of the fixes and changes, and further monitoring

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in testing web or mobile applications
  • Experience in writing test documentation, Design Techniques, Use Cases, Test Plans, etc.
  • Understanding of CI/CD process and tools
  • Good understanding of SDLC
  • Good understanding of UX/UI principles
  • Strong knowledge of Chrome Dev Tools
  • Familiar with reading and following Figma design files
  • Experience with bug-tracking systems: Jira, YouTrack, or any similar tool
  • Experience with DB and knowledge of SQL
  • Practical experience in API testing by tools: JMeter/Postman/Insomnia
  • Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or any similar tool
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment in a rapidly growing company
  • Knowledge of the Google Play/App Store ecosystem
  • English - Intermediate, spoken and written

Nice to have:

  • Experience with payment systems
  • Practical experience with GitHub
  • The basic knowledge of Java
  • The basic knowledge of Selenium/Selenide
  • Experience with analytics (Firebase, Google Analytics, Google Tag)
  • Experience with Virtual Machines
